We use DS Grinding for all our grinding services for honed and polished concrete. Many people think that honed and polished concrete is the same thing. That’s not the case. The process is different. While both polished and honed concrete follow the same process at first – grinding down of the decorative concrete until the desired level of aggregate exposure is reached. For honed concrete, once the grinding phase is done, external protective sealers are applied and that’s it. For polished concrete, it is grouted, densified, buffed, and polished.
